Melt gear pumps are mainly used for transporting, pressurizing and metering high-temperature and high-viscosity polymer melts. It has the characteristics of compact structure, reliable operation, low energy consumption, high volumetric efficiency, and small shearing effect on the melt. Remote extruder melt pumps are usually used together with extruders in plastic processing. They can further homogenize the melt, provide stable flow at high temperatures and high pressures, no pulsation in material output, high volumetric efficiency, and small shearing effect on the melt. , thereby improving product quality and product accuracy and reducing costs. It can be used for plastic melt granulation and mixing, and can also be used for extruding sheets, pipes, films and profiles, etc.

Melt pump application conditions:
1. Working temperature of melt gear pump: ≤350-400℃, cleaning temperature: ≤450℃, outlet pressure: ≤350bar, viscosity: ≤30000Pa.s.
2. The seal of melt gear pump generally adopts spiral seal, which has good anti-wear performance.
3. Drive motor + reducer + universal coupling + pump body. The motor adopts frequency conversion speed regulation or servo speed regulation, and can be adjusted to the required flow rate at will. For products with high precision requirements, it is recommended to use servo motor speed regulation.

4. The melt gear pump is heated by an electric heating rod, which can accurately control the melt temperature. Melt pumps are positive displacement gear pumps that use a pair of externally meshed cylindrical gears (helical gears) to rotate relative to each other to transport high-viscosity fluids. All gears and mating surfaces are precision ground, and assembly clearances are strictly controlled to obtain accurate flow.
5. The melt gear pump body is equipped with unloading holes to strictly control the system output pressure fluctuation.
6. The system is equipped with end bearing flushing channels to ensure long and durable operation of the bearings.
7. The polymer melt pump body cavity of the melt gear pump adopts high-temperature liquid hydrodynamic design to ensure the feeding and discharging of materials under large working conditions and improve the meshing performance of the product.

Because the extrusion melt pump body operates at high temperatures, hinge supports should be installed on the pipes during cold installation to prevent pipe displacement after heating. The coupling must be thermally aligned after the melt pump body heats up to avoid additional torque during operation. When starting the melt pump, when there is no pressure at the outlet, do not speed up blindly to prevent premature damage to the shaft or bearing. When cleaning, do not use the melt pump to transport cleaning fluid. The internal parts should be removed and installed after cleaning to avoid foreign matter being mixed into the melt pump for plastic extrusion.
