Precautions for Vertical Installation of Extruder Melt Gear Pump
The installation method of the power input shaft of the extruder hot melt gear pump perpendicular to the horizontal plane is called vertical installation of the pump shaft, and the installation example is shown in the following figure. The installation process requires attention to the following issues
1. The connection head of the pump melt gear pump for plastic extruder is correctly installed on the input shaft. After adjusting the depth of the joint used to connect the universal joint on the connection head and fully exposing it, tighten the top screw to fix the connection head
2. When installing the melt pump body and reducer, check and adjust the radial deviation between the center of the melt pump power input shaft and the center of the reducer power output shaft; (0.5mm-1.8mm)

3. When installing the universal joint, the flange of the universal joint should be fully installed into the joint joint mouth, and the connecting bolts should be installed and tightened after the two ends are fitted together
4. When installing the universal joint, pull out the axial length of 2mm to 5mm for installation, and do not allow the melt pump extruder shaft and reducer pump shaft to be squeezed. Angular deviation after installation of universal joint coupling< (1 ° -2 °)
5. The melt pump body of the screw extruder and the melt gear pump is hard connected. After the production line is started, the working temperature of the extruder increases, and the screw is prone to thermal expansion and elongation, resulting in displacement of the melt pump body. After the production line has fully warmed up to the working temperature, the pump body should be checked for displacement, the pump body position should be readjusted, and the gear pump installation bolts should be tightened.
