The melt gear pump mainly consists of a pump casing, driving gear, driven gear, sliding bearings, front and rear end plates, packing seals, etc. The melt gear pump used for conveying plastic melt is mainly used to pressurize and stabilize the high-temperature plastic melt from the plasticizing mixing equipment, and maintain a stable flow rate of the melt into the extrusion mold. It can operate at high temperatures up to 350 ° C and pressures up to 35 MPa or higher. Its main characteristics are simple and compact structure, and reliable operation.

Thermoplastic melt pump is a device that forcibly transports materials through gear meshing. It utilizes the change in working volume formed between two meshing gears to transport liquid. The melt gear pump belongs to the external meshing gear pump and is also a widely used gear pump. When the driving gear of the melt gear pump rotates, the suction cavity gear disengages, increasing the sealing volume and forming a local vacuum. Under the action of external atmospheric pressure or gravity, the material is pumped into the oral cavity and enters the tooth groove. As the gears rotate, the material between the suction teeth is carried to the other side and enters the extrusion chamber. At this point, the gear enters meshing, and the sealing volume gradually decreases. The material between the gears is squeezed out, forming the process of pressing out and discharging the gear. When gears mesh, the tooth contact line separates the suction chamber and the pressure chamber, isolates each other, and maintains the pressure difference.
