Melt pump application areas and four major advantages and features
First, the application of the melt pump
1、Plastics industry
It is widely used in the plastic extrusion molding process. For example, in the production of plastic pipes, the melt pump is installed between the extruder and the die head. It can accurately control the flow of plastic melt to ensure uniform wall thickness of the pipe. In the production of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) pipes, for example, where the processing properties of the PVC material are sensitive to flow and pressure, the melt pump delivers the melt in a stable manner and improves the quality of the pipe.
For the production of plastic films, such as PE (polyethylene) film, melt pumps allow the melt to be evenly distributed across the extruder's die opening, ensuring consistent film thickness. 2、Rubber industry
In the processing of rubber products, especially in the extrusion molding of rubber mixing has important applications. For example, in the production of automobile tire tread rubber, melt pumps can be mixed rubber melt accurately transported to the extrusion mold to ensure that the dimensional accuracy and quality stability of the tread rubber.

1, high-precision flow control
Melt pumps can accurately control the amount of melt delivery, flow accuracy can reach ± 0.5% or even higher. It can effectively reduce the influence of pressure fluctuation of the upstream extruder and other equipment on the downstream processing. Melt pump itself has a certain pressure stabilization function, its internal flow channel design and working principle makes the melt in the passage of pressure fluctuations to be buffered. For example, in the extrusion process of plastic sheet, when the extruder screw speed and other factors change resulting in pressure fluctuations, the melt pump can maintain a relatively stable outlet pressure, thus ensuring the quality and flatness of the sheet.
3、Improve product quality
Because of the ability to accurately control the flow rate and stabilize the pressure, melt pumps help to improve the dimensional accuracy of the product, the appearance of quality and performance consistency. For example, in the production of plastic profiles, through the melt pump can make all parts of the profile wall thickness uniformity, accurate size, and different batches of product quality is more stable.
4、Improve production efficiency
Melt pumps can achieve stable melt delivery at lower pressures, thus reducing the requirements for upstream extrusion equipment. This means that lower power extruders can be used, reducing equipment costs and energy consumption. At the same time, it can adapt to higher melt viscosity and flow rate range, to a certain extent, to broaden the scope of the production process and improve production efficiency.
