Causes of noise during the operation of high-temperature melt gear pumps
The melt gear pump consists of a pump casing, front and rear covers, gear shafts, sliding bearings and shaft seals. The melt gear pump is a positive displacement pump, which relies on the change of the working volume caused by the meshing of the main gear and the driven gear to transport the melt. The working volume is composed of the pump body, the tooth groove of the gear and the bearing with the function of the side plate. When the gears rotate, the melt enters the tooth slots of the two gears in the suction chamber. As the gear rotates, the melt is brought into the discharge cavity from both sides, and the gear meshes again, causing the melt in the tooth groove to be squeezed out. Zhengzhou batte melt pump are mainly used for the transportation, pressurization and metering of high temperature and high viscosity polymer melts. The melt pump pressurizes the high-temperature plastic melt from the extruder, and after the pressure is stable, the flow is stably sent to the extruder head. Its ability to stabilize melt pressure and flow is better than various types of extruders. It is widely used in the extrusion molding of plastic, resin and rubber products abroad. Such as: granulation, film, pipe, plate, sheet and other industries.
For the high-temperature melt gear pump in the daily work process, it will cause high-noise analysis and troubleshooting methods.
First, we analyzed that the gear pitch error and tooth profile error of the high-temperature melt gear pump may be too large, resulting in uneven gear meshing and relatively high mechanical noise. Therefore, we use gear grinding technology to make adjustments. The gear meshing clearance improves the machining accuracy of the gear, but after testing, the noise has not been significantly reduced. Secondly, the axial clearance and radial clearance of the high-temperature melt gear pump after assembly can be appropriately increased to reduce the pressure loss at the suction port of the guest system (to prevent cavitation and noise), but the effect is still not ideal.
After many times of analysis and actual comparison, we have come to the conclusion that the flow area of the discharge hole of the main high-temperature pump side plate (high-pressure side) of the high-temperature gear pump is too small, which causes the oil to be trapped in the high-pressure area. Large periodic hydraulic shocks result in higher operating noise.
