Summary of melt pump faults
The common main faults of melt pumps are:
1. The melt pump does not rotate; 2. Material leakage occurs; 3. The temperature rise of the melt pump is too high; 4. The pump makes a noise during use; 5. Unstable outlet pressure; 6. The product has bubbles; 7. The product has black spots, etc. Here is the solution given:
Melt gear pump malfunction
1. The shaft and sleeve are locked, and the solution is to disassemble, return to the factory, and repair.
2. The temperature has not reached the melting temperature of the material, and continuous heating and insulation are required for a period of time.
3. The motor torque is not enough, replace it with a larger motor and increase the reduction ratio.
Polymer melt pump leaking material
1. Leakage at the sealing point. The solution is to pass cooling water or air; Replace the packing and seal.
2. Cover plate leakage. The solution is to tighten the cover plate screws once after the melt pump is heated; Apply high-temperature sealant to the cover plate and pump body.
Extrusion melt temperature rise too high
1. The thermocouple is damaged, the heating tube is damaged, and the instrument needs to be replaced.
2. There is a problem with the pump body structure.
3. Insufficient smoothness of the melt pump.
4. The material viscosity is too high, causing a high temperature rise.
5. Add cooling to the melt pump, forced cooling, and cold air cooling.
